Welcome to Tara's Teaching Tools!
After teaching 1st-3rd grade for 8 years, I became a Special Education teacher for 4th and 5th graders.
In these years with 4th and 5th grades, I had resource time with students who needed extra time, guidance, and just liked to get some extra practice.
My students (like many SPED students) struggled to grasp a new concept as quickly as their peers. Therefore, after completing their classwork that was assigned from their classroom teacher, we needed more material and resources to continue practicing.

This is how my TPT Store began!
Have you ever been working with your students from a textbook or curriculum assignment and then heard "I still don't get it"? Well, I heard this often! I needed a few more drills, word problems, task cards, puzzles, or other fun activities to give them something extra. Often, SPED students especially thrive when they see their assignments in different forms; hands-on/tactile, manipulatives, movement activites, auditory, etc. Applying math concepts to real-world scenarios through word problems were one of the best ways I was able to reach my students' learning needs. This is how my store began and I continued to expand with more math resources for all elementary grades.
